WINDSOR FOREST COLLEGES GROUP HOSTS TWO SUCCESSFUL CAREERS FAIRS

News overview

Over the past two weeks, the Careers Team at The Windsor Forest Colleges Group have been busy hosting two exceptional Careers Fairs.

The first event took place at BCA last Wednesday, attracting around 30 industry professionals, including experts in business, childcare, creative industries, and motor vehicle, alongside charities offering volunteer opportunities.

This targeted approach allowed students with a passion for these fields to engage directly with seasoned practitioners and gain valuable insights into their prospective career paths.

Building on the success of the initial fair, a larger and more diverse event was held a week later at Slough & Langley College. Over 40 businesses participated, representing an impressive spectrum of industries – from hairdressing and car mechanics to engineering, IT, and health and social care. Additionally, there were opportunities to connect with professionals from nurseries and travel companies.

This wide-ranging selection ensured that students were truly spoilt for choice when it came to exploring career options and discussing their ambitions with industry leaders.

Jayne Langley, Careers Advisor at Slough & Langley College, expressed her delight over the smooth running and overall success of the events.

“It was brilliant to see so many of our students engaging with employers, helping them to make informed decisions about their future. There was a definite buzz at both events and feedback has been really positive. Thank you to all the wonderful employers who supported us and helped to make these events so fantastic.”

Linda Derby, Careers Manager at BCA, also said: “I’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the students who embraced the events with enthusiasm, courageously stepped out of their comfort zones and engaged in meaningful conversations with numerous employers. Your efforts are truly inspiring!”

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the employers who attended the fairs. Their ongoing support plays a crucial role in providing students with the guidance and opportunities needed to navigate the complex world of careers.
